What to Bring

What to Bring when you decided to visit Myanmar
You don't need to bring much thick cloths for Myanmar holiday tour trip. Even at the height of the cold season you'll rarely need anything more than a sweater while on the plains and probably only for the nights in Bagan Myanmar, where it can get a little chilly or upper north of Myanmar Kachin State . It can get rather cold up in the hill Myanmar country, so if you're going to Pyin U lwin Or Inle in Myanmar, bring a warm sweater or light jacket. In Myitkyina and Bhamo in the Kachin state which lie above the tropic of Cancer, it can get downright cold in the winter months; consider buying a heavy jacket in Mandalay before heading up there during Myanmar holiday season. A light sleeping bag might also be useful in other parts of the Shan State in Myanmar, especially in Kalaw and Taunggyi where the one or two blankets per person supplied by Myanmar guesthouses is not always enough during the cold season. Otherwise it's normal tropical gear lightweight, but "decent", clothes. Myanmar is a prim, conservative country so shorts (particularly when worn by women) or short skirts are inappropriate for women in Myanmar.

Shwedagon Pagoda

When traveling in Myanmar, Our travel agency strongly advises that you wear sturdy sandals or thongs (flip-flops) rather than shoes simply because you take them off and put them on so often when visiting Burma temples and Pagoda in Myanmar. Remember that the sunlight is intense in Myanmar protect your head in open places like Bagan, or when out on Inle Lake. Mosquitoes can be a major irritant in Myanmar, so bring insects repellent, mosquito coils or even a mosquito net.

Bring any items you feel may not be available in Myanmar mosquito repellent, film, batteries and medicines are the most likely examples. Simple toiletries like soap, toothpaste and toilet paper are readily available almost every places in Myanmar.

A Myanmar longyi(sarong)can be a very handy item if you are going to the beach in Myanmar holiday. It can be used to sleep on or as a light bedspread. A scarf to keep off the sun and absorb perspiration as a towel is helpful. A small hammock is good for the Beach holidays in Myanmar to name just a few of its many functions. However, Myanmar longyi is not appropriate in street or walking down in the cities. Be sure to have them sewn into a tube before wearing them in public. If you plan to wash your own clothes bring along a universal sink plug, a few plastic clothes pins, and plastic hangers or 3 m of plastic cord for hanging your washing in Myanmar. A small but strong padlock is useful for locking your room in small upcountry Myanmar guesthouses where locks aren't provided in every places of Myanmar.
